THE FOUNDATION
Raquita was raised in the East Texas town of Center before spending 15 years of her adult life in Beaumont, Texas. Those experiences—and the rich musical heritage of her family and home state—continue to influence her passion for meaningful connection through timeless, soulful songs.
A songwriter at heart, Raquita creates music that crosses genres while remaining rooted in authenticity. Whether writing contemporary R&B, country, or other collaborative projects, her goal remains the same: to tell honest stories that encourage, inspire, and stay with listeners long after the final note.
THE MISSION
When she’s not writing, recording, or on the road singing, Raquita serves as an upper school vocal coach and choir director, helping young musicians discover their confidence, develop their gifts, and find their unique voice.
Whether directing choirs or mentoring students, she believes creativity has the power to connect people, build confidence, and remind every person that their story matters.
THE JOURNEY
In 2021, Raquita and her husband relocated to Colorado to attend Charis Bible College. There, she completed the school’s two-year program before continuing into the third-year Leadership School, deepening her passion for leadership, spiritual growth, and serving others.
Today, she continues that pursuit through her Bachelor’s degree in Communications at Grand Canyon University while expanding her career as a recording artist, songwriter, educator, and creative communicator.
